A BEAUTIFULLY PATINATED INLAID MAHOGANY ARCH DIAL MOON PHASE 8 DAY LONGCASE CLOCK ; FINELY CARVED WOODEN FINIALS WITH GILT CARVED ROSES AS PATERAY ON THE SWAN NECK PEDIMENT. VERRE EGLOMISE BLUE BACKGROUND ABOVE REEDED BRASS GILT COLUMNS, SCALLOPED EDGE DOOR REVEALING BRASS AND SILVERED DIAL ARCH TO THE TOP WITH PAINTED MOON AND MARITIME SCENE. SIGNED TO THE ARCH '' ROBERT LAWSON , LEIGH'' & ''TIME IS PRECIOUS''. CLEAN MOVEMENT RUNNING STRIKING THE HOURS.
 
THE CASE VERY WELL EXECUTED INLAY AND ARCH MOULDING. LONG FIGURED MAHOGANY DOOR FLANKED BY QUARTER COLUMNS WITH FURTHER INLAY . THE BASE CROSSBANDED & STRINGING, SOLID TIMBER SIDES AND BACK , CANTRED CORNERS STOOD ON LOW OGEE BRACKET FOOT. LIGHT USAGE WEAR AS PER PHOTOS, OVERALL EXCELLENT CLEAN CLOCK WITH BEAUTIFUL CABINET WORK. FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION.
