Victorian Burr Walnut Sewing Box.
A superb example of a Victorian sewing box in a glorious piece of burr walnut dating back to c.1860. The box features a mother of pearl shield top and key escutcheon and a working lock and key.
Open the box to reveal the original satin fitted sewing tray complete with sewing reals, needles a thimble and lidded compartments lift up the tray to reveal a handmade needle case, button hook, tape measure, Cotten and needles.
We have relined the rest of the interior with a beautiful handcrafted marble paper that compliments the satin perfectly.
Superb quality and condition measuring 25 x 18 and stands 12cm high.
