The pairs of doves are made in spelter, a metal alloy favoured by continental sculpture as more flexible and economical than bronze. Each pair of doves features a male and female, as their tail feathers differ, perching on a leafy branch. They have a bronzed finish, with light gilding. They are an interesting subject (makes a change from dogs) and are in excellent condition.
