An early Howard & Sons deep-buttoned back easy armchair. C.1850
 
Professionally and traditionally upholstered in a blue Howard and Sons monogram cotton fabric, the specification of the original ticking found on Howard chairs of this period.
 
Raised on turned walnut forelegs and splayed rear legs, complete with original Cope Collinson brass castors and the firms stamp to the rear left leg.
 
With wonderful shape and comfort, structurally very good.
