An amazing pair of French 19th century Louis XV style painted bergère armchairs. The armchairs feature a large gracefully curved frame inset with double caned back and sides. Comfortable open form, the wide demi-lune back rest with short arms. Superb double layered bergère cane all over and in good order. Accentuated with reeded shaped top rail and armrests. The generous circular seats have a loose shaped blue cushion. Raised upon four carved cabriole legs with scrolled feet. This is an attractive pair of French painted bergère armchairs, with appealing colour and superb cane finish. Elegant and ideal for the lounge or conservatory. The chair seat height is 38cm.
