A pair of French Art Deco Alsatian or German Shepherd dog bookends c1930. The bookends feature a pair of bronzed spelter Alsatian or German Shepherd dogs, mounted on beige/brown marble bases. The figures of the dogs are finely modelled with pointed muzzles and ears , a long stride and long feathery tails. One ear has a minuscule loss on the tip but that does not detract from the overall appearance of the bookends which are in good condition, The dimension given is for one bookend.
