A superb pair of 17thc fruitwood carved corbels, ( a corbel is a structural piece of wood, metal, or stone jutting out from a wall to support a structure above it) in the form of two rather cheeky cherubs with crowned heads, both are wearing a necklace and underneath displaying their upturned bosoms....very imposing and in good condition for their great age, with a fine colour, that you always find with ''aged'' fruitwood.
Flemish. C1660-80.
