A very good mid 18thc Oak lidded ''close'' stool...it still has the original stile feet, hand made iron H hinges, and what is very unusual, it also has the original base boards....usually these close stools come with no boards in the base..... it has gained an excellent colour and patination and is in very nice condition throughout......very useful as a small table and also somewhere to put the newspapers and magazines..!
