Rare Malacca Sword Stick with a Toledo Blade and Quillons

19th century
Description

Dating to the mid to late 19th Century this Malacca sword stick has a gilded top and ends in a rather bashed brass and steel ferrule, inside however is a jewel of a blade. When drawn the quillons on either side of the blade spring out and the blued and gilded Toledo blade is revealed. Both sides of the blade and quillons are etched with swirls, sunbursts, sways and architectural designs which have been blued and/or gilded.

A truly fabulous rare sword stick in great condition.
