A charming needlework sampler worked in coloured silk threads by SARAH JARRETT born in 1797

Finished sampler 1812. Set into a mahogany firescreen at a later date probably 1920s. Very finely worked showing different stitches, some of the black silk worn in the verse and a little damage to backing.
