~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A stunning original antique French gilt bronze clock in the classical style of Louis XVI. A beautifully restrained architectural case with a handled urn to the top, a bow above the dial, scrolling acanthus to the sides and polished panels with applied motifs.

The beautiful dial is porcelain enamel on copper with blue lettering. It is complete with finely cut gilt brass hands and convex glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is by A. D. Mougin. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
