A Gorgeous Georgian Regency Silver Vinaigrette

A gorgeous Georgian silver vinaigrette, dating from the Regency period. This splendid example has a gilded interior and a lovely pierced and engraved grille, featuring flowers and leaves. The front and back are decorated with engraved acanthus details and there is a shield shaped vacant cartouche to the top. The sides have stylised engraving and the back has a lovely concealed hinge. Inside the vinaigrette retains the original sponge. A wonderful collector's piece in superb condition. Dimensions below.
