Gents Tissot Seastar Seven automatic watch, 1969.

The watch has a Tissot calibre 784-2 automatic movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Chs Tissot & Fils and it has the serial number 11,299,272 which dates it back to 1969.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in lovely condition. The inside of the case back is signed Tissot, as is the winding crown.

The lens looks good to the naked eye, some light marking if viewed through a jeweller’s loupe. There is some white reflection showing in the photos.

The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and date display (an early form of quickset date where you repeatedly wind the hands backwards and forwards between five past midnight and 9.30pm until the desired date is reached. There is minor marking to the dial, nothing too serious at all.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
