This is a fabulous 19th-century Elkington & Co. electroplated and brass eagle & globe inkwell. It is a rare and high-quality example featuring an eagle with spread wings supporting an atlas/globe on its back. The eagle is electroplated, while the engraved globe is brass. Despite being slightly misshapen and having a loose fit, the item still displays beautifully. The base is hallmarked with a series of Elkington marks, attesting to its authenticity. This is a stunning and unique piece, with a style that is seldom encountered.
