Serpentine Sideboard by J Hicks

1900 - 1920
Description

Beautifully crafted serpentine fronted mahogany sideboard stamped by J Hicks of 5 Lr Pembroke st. He is descibed by Knight of Glin, James Peill in his book 'Irish Furniture ' as being 'the last of the grand Irish cabinet makers'. Made at the turn of the 20th C it is extensively inlaid with satinwood and all oak lined with brass ring handles. In very good , untouched, original condition

60" wide 33" high 25" deep at centre
