Antique oil painting on canvas early 19th century possibly Italy a study of 2 women leaning out of a window, good colouration there is a craquelure finish, the artist has captured a expression in the main sitters face, she has a look of anxiety and hope, whether she is waiting for her lover we don't know but there is an air of expectancy here, her friend seems to be helping keep a lookout.

The frame is original and has some damage, this could be repaired of course and is reflected in the price.
