Description

Hand-painted porcelain Coalport dessert plate with floral and gilt decoration and scalloped border. Cobalt blue border, pink roses and gold foliage and scrolls.

The underside marked with painted Coalport stamp which was used after 1920 and painted pattern number 5331/B in puce.

Additional mark of Stonier & Co., of Liverpool, 78 St. Lord Street. Stonier & Co supplied the British shipping company White Star Line, of the Titanic fame.

This rare plate would make a wonderful addition to a collection of Coalport china or look great on its own as a cabinet plate. A fantastic antique find in unusually good condition.
