This is an antique pedestal desk. An English, blonde oak and leather nine drawer clerk's desk, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Fine Edwardian example with a delightful presentation and quality craftsmanship

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout

Warm biscuit hues to the quality oak stocks, with fine grain interest

Further distinguished with an abundance of medullary rays

Arrangement of nine drawers, with two banks of four around a wide, central drawer

Top inset with a dashing, saffron tanned leather skiver, accentuated with gold tooling

Each drawer dressed with an inset, brass lined lock — 4 keys present, including the central drawer

Circular decorative pulls with foliate backplates adorn each drawer

Each drawer box line with quality mahogany stocks, with deep fascia and dovetail joints

Desk finished to the rear, offering central room placement if required

Pedestal form offers a comfortable kneehole height of 58.5cm (23'')
