Rare 18th century Liverpool porcelain cup and saucer by Chaffers. The pattern is called Chinese Fence and dates from circa 1758-1762. Richard Chaffers 1731-1765 started the business in Liverpool in 1752, and soon became a rival to Wedgwood.
This very collectable blue and white set of a coffee cup and saucer The back with a sticker for the Watney Collection, his collection of fine early English porcelain was sold by Phillips of London in September 1999.
The stand is not included.

Very good antique condition, no chips or cracks.
