Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Queen Anne Revival furniture emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, taking inspiration from early 18th-century English cabinetmaking. Standard features include curved cabriole legs, pad feet, figure-rich walnut veneers, and arched or double-domed pediments.

These pieces typically feature solid timber frameworks veneered in figured burr walnut and plain walnut. Glazed doors utilize clear glass panels held by wooden astragal mouldings, complemented by solid brass drop handles and escutcheon keyholes.

Revival examples display early 20th-century construction details, such as refined machine-assisted or tight hand-cut dovetail drawer joints, smooth oak or pine drawer linings, and well-preserved walnut veneer panels across the fall-front writing slope.

Position the cabinet against a focal wall in a study, dining space, or drawing room. Display ceramics or leather-bound volumes inside the glazed upper section while maintaining the writing slope in a closed position when not in active use.

Dust wood surfaces regularly with a dry microfibre cloth and apply a thin layer of natural beeswax annually along the wood grain. Glass panels should be cleaned with a glass cleaner applied to a cloth rather than sprayed directly onto surrounding wood.
