Pair Of Mid 20th Century Handmade Fairground Splat A Rat Mallets

£100    $125    €119
A really fun piece of fairground history. This pair of early to mid 20th century mallets would have been used to ''Splat a Rat'' in a travelling fair. With their original oxblood red paint with yellow writing and decoration, they are primitive yet charming and completely unique. They both come with later metal chains for them to be hung on the wall. The wear is evident, especially to the ends where they would have hit the target, but this is part of their charm and the history of these objects.

Larger mallet: H 42 cm x W 13 cm x D 8 cm

Smaller mallet: H 34 cm x W 14 cm x D 7 cm
