A Fine Chinese Mahjong Set, Shanghai, circa 1925

in a japanned rectangular case, with a sliding lid to the top decorated with Chinese characters, including a set of bone and bamboo tiles:

- 36 Bamboos (1-9)

- 36 Circles (1-9)

- 36 Characters (1-9)

- 4 Red Dragons, 4 Green Dragons, 4 White Dragons (ie blank)

- 12 Bonus Decorative Tiles

- 4 North Winds, 4 West Winds, 4 East Winds, 4 South Winds

4 Horn Wind Discs and Dice (all in original wrapping, unused)

together with an instruction pamphlet: ‘Directions of Playing ‘Chinese Game of Four Winds’.
