Description

Antique Waltham full hunter pocket watch, 1895.

The watch has a 7-jewel grade 20 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 6,424,813 which dates it back to 1895. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some short scratches where a tool has slipped in the past.

The watch measures 51mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10kt gold filled and was made by the Crescent Watch Case Company. The case is decorated on the front and back with engine turned detail, and a vacant cartouche to the front. The case is in good condition, just the odd minor mark but nothing too detrimental at all. The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

The glass lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in lovely condition, just a short very faint hairline between 3 and 4, just about visible with a jeweller’s loupe. Blued steel hands.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
