Victorian Silver & Sliced-cut Pink Glass Scent Bottle by Bentjemann & Sons, London 1898

Description

This is a charming and unusual Victorian silver mounted cut glass scent bottle. The baluster pink glass body with panelled shoulders and sliced-cut hobnail patterns. The neck mounted with a fully hallmarked silver collar and the original sliced-cut tear-drop shaped stopper.

Hallmarks:

GW over GWB over JB for George Betjemann & Sons

Dale letter "c" for 1898.

London Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Condition:

Very good.

Glass in good condition, one or two minor nibs.

No chips or cracks.

Silver collar in good condition.

Dimensions:

Height: 8cm / 3 inches.

Diameter: 4.5cm / 1.6 inches.
