The table boasts a single-plank serpentine shaped top (a sign of quality), with a moulded edge, above a single working frieze drawer. The drawer incorporates the original brass swan neck handles on oval backplate escutcheons. The oak-lined drawer is constructed with fine hand dovetail joints and the drawer front is decorated with cock beading. The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The Georgian mahogany side table stands on four chamfered block legs. The Georgian table has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. Ideal for use a side table in the living room or a console table in the hall way, or even a small writing desk. This 18th century table is solid in joint and ready to use.
