Description: – An extremely fine and uncommon baluster shaped Thomas Porcelain vase decorated in the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr. The vase is adorned with an exquisite and intricate floral design in thick silver overlay and enamels upon a black ground.
Size & Weight: – The vase is 23cm tall & 7cm across the rim and weighs 480g.
Condition: – The porcelain has no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, losses or restoration. The silver is in great order without any losses, Obviously after 80 years of care there are very minor surface scratches to the silver following years of love & care.
Photography: - Please look at the images as they show a true status of this delightful vase. There are some light reflections seen following the photography and are not discolourations to the glaze.
History & Marks:– The porcelain marks used between 1939-52. The silver is stamped Spahr 1000 to the lower aspect of the silver neck.
Declaration:– This is original Thomas porcelain from the time period described. The silver overlay is that from the Schwåbisch Gmünd silver studios of Friedrich Spahr.
