A Rare Edward VIII Silver Caddy Spoon by R E Stone

A rare and desirable commemorative silver caddy spoon by the sought after R E Stone and in the Arts & Crafts taste. This superb piece is of fully cast silver, with a spot hammered bowl. The handle has a red enamel crown, encasing E VIII 1937. The gauge of the silver is superior as one would expect from this desirable maker.

R E Stone was known for producing quality silver items, connected to Royal occasions and featuring a crown. His designs for the silver jubilee of George V, were adapted for the Coronations of both Edward VIII 1936 and George VI 1937, (although of course Edward VIII's was never to take place).
