A Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester porcelain Cream Tureens c.1820. With gilt gadrooned rim and gilt seaweed background. The central circular well painted with a vignette in bright enamels with an exotic bird against a river landscape, in the manner of Charles Stinton.
Impressed FBB mark to the base of each
See page 150 of Henry Sandon’s book on Flight and Barr Worcester Porcelain for similar tureens
Condition: Both tureens are in superb condition given their age. One tureen has had minor professional restoration to a couple of chips on the base. The same tureen also has a flea bite size nick to the lid and the rim which is hardly noticeable.
