Elegant Edwardian Solid Silver Card Case by Robert Pringle & Sons, Chester 1907

Description

This exquisite Edwardian solid silver visiting card case is dated Chester 1907. Of rounded rectangular form, the front and back engraved with ivy leaves surrounding a vacant cartouche. The hinged lid opening to reveal a full set of hallmarks on the inner rim on the case. the inner case retaining its gilding.

Hallmarks:

R.P for Robert Pringle & Sons.

Chester Assay.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "G" for 1907.

Dimensions:

9.5cm x 6.5cm / 3.6 inches x 2.4 inches.

Condition:

Silver case in excellent condition with no dings or dents.

Good hinge, shuts nicely.

Good set of hallmarks.

Clean Interior.
