Delightful Pair of Victorian Solid Silver Salts by Martin Hall & Co, London 1874

Description

This exquisite pair of Victorian silver salt cellars is dated London1874 and was made by the renowned Martin Hall & Co. Of traditional cauldron form with beaded rims, each salt raised on three hoof feet. The sides embossed with floral patterns surrounding a vacant reserve. The salts interiors a beautiful rich gilt. The underside fully hallmarked. Sold with a pair of solid silver salt spoons made by Henry Wilkinson and dated Sheffield 1911.

RM over EH for Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall.

Duty Mark.

Date letter "t" for 1874.
