Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
Rich hand-painted polychrome enamelling with cobalt blue skirt, pink apron and russet red vest.

Red painted mark to base and impressed n.55.
This particular design comes from the Robert Bloor period and is noted in John Twitchett's renowned book on Derby Porcelain.
The Derby stamp dates this to c. 1830. However it is documented that Derby utilised impressed marks on their earlier pieces, suggesting that the painter may have taken a blank figure from an earlier period and applied colour c. 1830.

Fascinating combination of craftsmanship and history.
