This strong and heavy chair is constructed of solid mahogany and feature a shaped top rail decorated with ears and a finely executed pierced central fretwork back-splat, flanked by vertical rails, which secure the shaped arms. The arms are decorated with scroll-ends and are supported by shaped vertical supports. The Georgian armchair frame is raised on chamfered block front legs, with sabre legs to the rear and the legs are united by a sturdy �H� stretcher. The Georgian armchair boasts its original blue tapestry seat which is in very good condition given its age and very rare to find. The initials �ELM� are visible in the front left corner of the seat. The blue tapestry and petit-point seat material has been delicately hand-washed to ensure it is clean.
