Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It retains its original lever platform escapement and is signed with the Jacot trademark on the backplate. Notably, this is complete with its original numbered leather travelling case and numbered (13417) key. Perfect working order and guaranteed at least two years.

(** Henri JACOT was a pre-eminent maker of Carriage clocks, always of fine quality and usually signed. He died in 1868 to be succeeded by a nephew of the same name. A “Jacot” is French for a parrot or “Pretty Polly” ~ hence his signature trademark of a parrot on a stand, flanked by the initials “H” and “J”.)
