E W Cousins and Son has dated this Inlaid Mahogany Display Cabinet to the 19th Century.
These flanking an astragal glazed bowfront door the concave ends also astragal glazed. The material lined interior having 2 plate glass shelves. The base having 4 panels with moulded frames having re-entrant corners inlaid with petal roundels. The panels quarter veneered with interlinked stringing to flared oval panels with ribbon ties above and floral scrolls below with central oval fans. The central doors opening to void interior. All door frames and stiles having double stringing. The lower edge of cabinet decorated with dot inlays. All on 6 fluted legs with ball feet. Ivorine label to cupboard door for maker G. H. Morton Bold Street Liverpool and design numbers stamped to back.
