Georgian Oak Salt Box

18th century
Description

A lovely antique salt box dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has a hinged lift up lid with a thick leather hinge and a small fixing hole at the back to allow for it to be hung on a wall. It is made from oak with the most lovely colour and patina.

It is in good condition and displays well. There are signs of age and use, a few small marks and knocks and some small chips and splits but overall it is strong and sturdy. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
