Description

Gents silver wrist watch, 1926.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 31mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Glasgow 1926 with a sponsor’s mark for James Weir who was listed as a watch maker, chronometer maker to the Admiralty, silversmith and jeweller. The case is in good condition for such an early piece, just general light surface marking but nothing too detrimental at all.

The lens is in good condition (some white reflection showing in the photos).

The dial is in good condition. One of the hands is a period replacement.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
