London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
Exceptional Edwardian Double Wardrobe with fine crossbanding & inlay.

The mahogany crafted for the piece is of high order and the resultant piece of furniture looks fantastic. Yew inlay, a central flamed mahogany oval plaque, and a splendid crown moulding make this a beautiful example of an early Edwardian wardrobe.

The central fixed panel is flanked by twin mirrored doors which open to reveal hanging cupboards. The mirrors are in fine order and are the original plates complete with bevelled edges.
The hanging space benefits from original hooks and rails. The doors are retained by original brass hinges and external fittings.

The whole upper sits upon a twin drawer chest which offers great storage space. A continuous plinth adds a sleekness to the styling of the wardrobe.
A wonderful piece that is very versatile. It is in excellent order throughout and very rare in this condition and of this quality.

Overall a nice wardrobe that represents terrific investment and a fine build quality that simply is not available in modern wardrobes.
