Wilmot Pilsbury RBSA,RWS 1848-1908.Painter of landscape and domestic genre in watercolour.Born in Dorking,Surrey he studied at Birmingham School of Art and South Kensington.Became Headmasterof the Leicester School of Art.Exhibited 67 works at the Fine Art Society,39 at the Royal Society of Artists Birmingham,6 at the R.A., but mainly at the RWS where he showed 250 works.A memorial exhibition of his work was held at the Fine Art Society in 1908. ‘Wooded Landscape’ signed watercolour,dated 1884 image size 27x42 cms ,framed size46.5x62 cms.A beautifully detailed woodland scene professionally cleaned by my excellent restorer housed in the orginal gilt frame with a new wash line mount.
