Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian Hepplewhite influenced chair, constructed in solid mahogany, circa 1790, which has been French polished and newly upholstered, in good condition. This Georgian dining chair has been designed in the style of George Hepplewhite furniture. The dining chair is constructed of solid mahogany and features a shaped top rail and moulded back; incorporating finely executed pierced escalloped splats, united by a small rectangular bar incorporating a carved cartouche; flanked by moulded vertical rails. The stuff over seat has been newly upholstered in top quality taupe / light grey coloured structured cotton upholstery, with traditional hessian material to the underside. Therefore, the seat is in excellent and clean condition, with no marks or signs of wear and tear. The seat is firm, but comfortable; you do not sink into the seat. The Georgian Hepplewhite influenced chair is raised on cabriole front legs, decorated with floral cartouches. Ideal for use as a single dining chair or office / desk chair.

The Georgian Hepplewhite influenced chair features a rich dark brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a lovely colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
