A fabulous antique Edwardian lavaliere necklace featuring a pendulum dropper adorned with two striking cabochon opals connected by a slender, pierced bar. The opals weigh approx. 0.75 and 4ct and display a beautiful medley of colours that intensify with the light.
Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the natural beauty of planet Earth or the aurora borealis.
The dropper is fashioned in 9ct gold and is fitted with a fine 9ct figaro chain. It dates to the early 1900s and has remained in pristine condition.
