Antique Early Metalware 16thc Elizabeth 1 Latten Seal Top Spoon. English. C1580 - C1600.

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Mark Seabrook Antiques

A fine example of an early latten ''seal-top'' spoon from the reign of Elizabeth 1 ....it is decorated in the top of the fig shaped bowl with the initials of the maker IR and a spoon pattern...I have not been able to trace the maker of this unusual mark....the spoon has a pleasing Elizabethan pattern to the underside of the finial and is in very nice condition with a natural colour.

English. C1580 - C1600.
