Antique English Sheraton Style Inlaid Mahogany Box C.1890

Description

A beautifully inlaid box, perfect for either a lady or gentleman and would lend itself to variety of duties should you wish to put it to work.

The two most obvious uses are as a Jewelry box or as a desk-top box to keep things neat and tidy.

The Mahogany box has a variety of attractive inlay, including a central conch shell to the centre of the lid and fan inlays to each corner. The front and sides are decorated with an attractive parquetry inlay.

The interior has a good removable tray and the interior has been professionally re-lined in a hand-marbled paper creating a nice clean finish, ready for use.

Complete with working key, the box is in excellent condition. 12" x 8" 5 1/4".
