Robert Lesley Howey 1900-1981.Robert was the son of the well known amateur artist John William Howey a Staithes Group artist.He was Born in West Hartlepool and afternoon studying at art school he became a professional artist working in Hartlepool.He exhibited his works at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Laing Art Gallery,Newcastle.He is particularly well known for his costal and Lake District scenes. ‘ Easedale,Grasmere in the Lake District’ signed watercolour with gouache,image size 36.5x44.5 cms,framed size 44x62cms; provenance: with the Hawkshead Gallery,Hawkshead
