Antique Regency Mahogany Bow Fronted Clothes Press Wardrobe on Chest C1800

Description

Lovely antique regency mahogany clothes press and dating from around 1800. It has a cornice top with cross banded frieze above two bow fronted flamed mahogany doors with cross banded edges and oval panel to the centre and with brass divider. Internally there is a sliding tray to the bottom and a hanging rail. The base has three long graduating drawers all of which are mahogany lined with original handles and each drawer has is finely strung to the edges. It stands on splayed bracket feet joined by a shaped frieze.

The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

Measures: 90" high X 22.5" deep X internal depth (top) 20" X 50" wide

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany and oozes the charm and character of the regency period
