Puckerings has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The handle is made from a solid piece of antique Ivory beautifully carved with floral motifs and a shell to the tip, above this is an old engraved monogram which would have been inked but has faded with age.
The silver has a wonderful crisp hallmark for London 1884, together with the highly sought-after Queen Victoria's head duty mark. The makers initials are also present, JR over SJ for the silversmith's, Rosenthal, Jacob & Co - Julius (Judah) Rosenthal & Samuel Jacob.
Excellent condition measuring 10" in length with a glass diameter measuring 4".
