Antique Victorian Satin Walnut & Maple Sentry Box Combination Wardrobe C1890

Description

Superb Antique Satin Walnut and Maple Sentry Box Combination Wardrobe and dating from around 1890. Constructed from quality satin walnut the centre has a moulded cornice top with beautifully carved Angelica Kauffman style figurative mask and flora above a mirror backed compartment with turned spindles and above two small fielded panelled and carved doors with the panels of quality Maple and with original brass handles. Internally there is a single shelf. There are four short drawers over four long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original brass handles and it is raised on a plinth base. This is flanked on either side by a sentry box wardrobe with each having a moulded cornice top above a full length shaped mirrored door with carved panels to the top and with original brass handles. Internally there is a single shelf over brass rail. They are raised on turned feet joined by a shaped frieze. Separates for ease of transporting.
