Highland Mary Portrait on Ivory. c1880. Mary Campbell (1763-1786) was being courted by Robert Burns when she died at the age of 23. Their brief courtship was depicted by many artists during the late 18th century and through the 19th century. Beautifully presented, retains her original colour, curved glass, original green velvet all in a pretty ormolu frame. The frame measures 5¾ inches (14.5cm) tall plus the scrolling pediment and is 5¼ inches (13.5cm) wide. Easel stand and ring if you wish to hang. All my photos are taken using natural light only. Ivory exemption code JEWHDQ4N. Our ref 9473a
