Late 19th Century Wooden Stationery Box

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful late 19th early 20th century wooden box. Very good condition inside and outside.

The inside is lined with the most sumptuous dark blue velvet which is in wonderful condition. The interior base is leather lined in velvet. Not sure if it was made for playing cards or for stationery. The central compartment is not as deep as the other 4. Victorian stationery was much smaller.

The base still has its original velvet base.
