Your focus is drawn to the imposing majestic iron hull ship Taranaki, in full sail side on with rigging & heading towards the right, the white longboat towards the centre obscured by a sail, on the right flank a small sailing boat in the distance by the New Zealand Port Chambers shore, to the far left are 2 other smaller sailing ships in the distance. Above mainly dark grey storm skies with small spots of blue shining through, on the bow you can see the name of the ship shown. Sailing on rather choppy rough seas.
