Description

Victorian Bijouterie Table - Serpentine Carved Case - c1870

A lovely example of a mahogany Victorian Bijouterie Case.

The piece is crafted from mahogany and benefits from a serpentine upper case with fine hand carved detailing to the sides.

The hinged glass lid has an exquisite carved edging and flows with the shape of the serpentine case. The whole rides upon elegant cabriole legs which terminate in a pad foot.

This cabinet interior is nicely lined with a soft green baise textile.

Overall the cabinet is nicely proportioned and is in excellent order throughout.
